Gentoo Linux... 高效能？
常常有人懷疑著 Gentoo Linux 跟其他版本比較起來到底又什麼效能比人家好咧？這個部份將給你一些概念，到底是什麼影響了軟體的效能。

在 2003，九月23號，在 HispaLinux 2003, Jose Alberto 示範了官方 Gentoo Linux 1.4 版本和 Mandrake 9.1 的比較。

他的mozilla是平均值？

To perform the test, three applications (Mozilla 1.4x, NetBeans 3.5x and Kmail (Gentoo version was a newer 3.1.3 version that came with the release) were repeatedly loaded. Initial load speed as well as subsequent load speed was recorded.

我用P4 第一次都快10s
關掉在開mozilla跟沒關就再開差很多...

唉，告訴大家一個秘密，
我在 P4-1.8M 的 Laptop , Mandrake 10 上開 mozilla 1.5
將近 20秒啦！

所以根本數據都灌水

1st run可以2.8秒.....

不過我也是P4-M-1.8 ^^ gentoo贏
