今天安裝xorg-x11

自從xfree4.4的license修改之後，各家的linux distro比紛紛把X server改成 xorg 了，想說，我也該來換一換了，但是因為沒有用過xorg，而且看到一些討論似乎在字型的處理上有一點小問題的樣子於是一直一拖再拖
今天想而就心一橫
，先把xfree quickpkg起來，就開始裝got版的xorg-x11，結果發現他比xfree compile的時間比較短些，吃個飯回來就裝好了，而且最扯的是我把XF86Config cp 成 xorg.conf，竟然就完全可以使用了
，我也不費心思再去想說要怎麼設xorg.conf，中文顯示方面目前也覺得一切正常(細明體)，真是太感動了

我神經太大條了 我換成 xorg好一陣子
機乎沒發現什麼不同
連 confg 檔都沒換名稱 就能 run 哈 ^^

你用細明體英文字距會不會過大？我的不知道為什麼會過大，但新細明體就不會....

我的細明體跟新細明體都沒有英文字間距變大的問題，我是用xp的mingliu.ttc

我也是用 xp 的 mingliu.ttc，然後用 xttmgr 加的...
看看這陣子得好好研究這些問題了....

你有沒有在 emerge freetype 的時候 USE="-bindist"?
一定要 -bindist (關閉 bindist), 不然等寬中文的英文都會變雙倍寬度.

今天換到 Xorg 碰到這個問題。。。
Big5沒事，一用到 unicode 就慘爆 XD

有沒有用 bindlist 這我得檢查一下。不過我換 Xorg 後字型問題一堆，看了都不想弄了，而且是只要一換回 xfree 就正常了...

Today, I've changed to xorg-x11, but found the resolution downto 640x480 (original is 1024x768).
And I found the initial time is longer then XFree.
(Sorry, I must key-in by English, because there I still have probelm with xcin).

I've solved the problem, by myself
Because the Xorg configure my screen driver to 's3'. (Original XF86config is 'vesa').
I guess the initial time longer may caused by unproper driver.
